Pool Rules

Plum Creek Pool Rules

All persons using the pool and pool area do so at their own risk and sole responsibility. No one is allowed in the pool area unless a lifeguard is on duty. The lifeguard or authorized personnel may close the pool because of inclement weather, safety reasons, etc. Any person can be removed from pool area if deemed necessary. Adult swims are called every hour for ten minutes. An adult is eighteen years of age or older. Non-swimming children may accompany adults.
Weather permitting: It must be 68 degrees outside (state requirement) and no inclement weather. If in question, please call the pool phone – (317) 993-3155 – to verify if the pool is open. If it begins to rain, thunder or lightning, lifeguards will clear the pool and deck for safety. It is standard procedure to close the pool for 30 minutes, regardless of whether there is thunder/lightning detected during a storm.
Trained and certified lifeguard staff will be provided, as well as all the required safety equipment. Members are responsible for supervising their families and guests at the pool. The pool staff are not babysitters and should never be considered solely responsible for your safety.
Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible person of at least 16 years of age, at all times. Supervision must be provided in the pool, deck and in the restroom/locker room areas. Pool staff will firmly, fairly and consistently enforce all pool rules at all times. Any concerns or questions regarding pool rules should be addressed to the pool manager, not the guards on duty.
All members entering the facility are required to use their Plum Creek issued key fob. All guests me be accompanied by a member at all times on the property. Guest fees must be paid at the time of arrival, regardless of age or usage. Guest fees are $7 per person, per day, and give the guest usage of the swim area. If you have extended stay guests or a large group coming to the facility, special arrangements can be made by contacting the Golf Shop.
Anyone, child or adult, who does not appear to have ample swimming skills must pass a deep water test prior to entering the deep end of the pool. Weak or non-swimming patrons must remain in the shallow water with supervision. Running is not permitted in the pool area. Anyone using the diving board or deep end must be able to swim across the pool with no assistance from devices or other people. No one is allowed to catch or assist those using the diving board. The diving area must remain clear for board use.
Diving in water less than 8 feet deep is not permitted. Back flips, inward somersaults or any other unsafe entry into the pool from the sides or diving board are not allowed. Children who are not toilet trained and/or less than 4 years old will only be allowed in the pool if they wear a tight-fitting swimsuit diaper and swimsuit with elastic legs. Cloth or disposable diapers are not permitted. All diaper changing must take place in the restrooms.
Appropriate swim attire must be worn by all patrons on the deck and in the pool. We are a family environment and expect proper public attire and behavior. Only swim suits are allowed in the pool. No cut offs or other makeshift street clothes will be allowed. Pets are not allowed in any building or the pool area. No food or beverages are permitted in the pool.
